Edward Lim, MD
Dr. Edward S. Lim is a Board-Certified Ophthalmologist with specialized fellowship training in Vitreoretinal Surgery from Yale University (1995). Alongside his clinical and surgical practice, Dr. Lim serves as an Assistant Clinical Professor at Yale University, where he has educated medical students, residents, and fellows in the Department of Ophthalmology. He is also a sought-after faculty member at JCAHPO and The Osler Institute. At JCAHPO, he contributes to the education of ophthalmic technicians, while at The Osler Institute, he helps prepare residents for the National Board Examination in Ophthalmology.
Dr. Lim’s leadership in the field is exemplified by his presidency of the Connecticut Society of Eye Physicians (CSEP) from 2012 to 2014. He has been an active Executive Committee Member for over 15 years and is involved in CSEP’s Education Committee. In 2008, he was honored with the David Parke Leadership Award. He was also selected for the American Academy of Ophthalmology’s Leadership Development Program in 2010 and volunteers with AAO EyeCare America. Dr. Lim is a Fellow of the American Academy of Ophthalmology and a member of the American Society of Retina Specialists.
Outside of his professional life, Dr. Lim is married with four children. He enjoys bicycling and running and is a dedicated fan of the NY Giants and NY Yankees.
